Kim M. Smith, Esq. is counsel to the firm of Audra E. Dehan.  Kim oversees our Medicaid and Guardianship matters.  She has been practicing in the area of Elder Law for twenty (20) years. She also serves as a Court Examiner for both Suffolk and Nassau County Guardianship matters.
 
In addition, Kim is an active member of the legal community as a frequent speaker presenting continuing legal education programs at the Suffolk County and Nassau County Bar Associations, and provides informational seminars for financial institutions, schools, hospitals, and civic organizations.  She has written several articles for both the Suffolk County and Nassau County Bar Associations.

Kim is also a member of numerous professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations, the Women’s Bar Association of New York and the immediate past president of the Suffolk County Estate Planning Council.  Kim also serves on the board of United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island.
